At First Lutheran Church, we are committed to making Christ known to all through worship and loving service. Many of us volunteer our services at FACC, PADS, Mother Hubbard’s Kiddie Cupboard, blood drives, Meals on Wheels, Crop Walk amongst other things. In addition, we are committed to reaching out to the people of the neighborhood surrounding our church building. We reach out to them so that the love of Jesus will be made known to them through us.
We believe that it is in relationships that we experience the love of Jesus Christ. So we make every effort to offer opportunities that enable people to get to know each other better. At the present time, we are developing small groups in which people can share common interests and grow in their faith.

Similar to a Board of Directors in the public sector, the Church Council provides oversight of the life of the congregation and encourages members to be faithful in carrying out the mission of the church.
